Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

You sound like me aside from not wanting to wrench. I don't have the time to, but I like wrenching. I've been looking into tools to make things faster. Next up on my list is an electric ratchet wrench. I got the impact to break stuff loose but some places are too tight. Like you get one click from a...

Re: Yoshi's E46 build

Sure? Technically it isn't even a swap since it's the same motor. Everything I'm doing now is to just get the damn thing running. Next step is to replace the two brake lines from the ABS unit back. Can't wait... It's not too bad from what I remember, I just hate bending lines. Especially since it's ...

Yoshi's E46 build

I suppose I might as well post this here cuz... fuck it. My forum I can do what I want to. I picked up a previously slammed hotboi 330 e46 with a shot engine, some body work issues, and lots more issues for $1k delivered to my house. Can't really complain honestly. This car was so bare bones, they o...

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

E46 M3s are more expensive than they are worth. People always complained to me about how BMWs needed "special tools" to work on them. Really it was just internal and external torx bits. But so many other manufacturers use it. Now with the E46 and newer, you need special vanos timing tools ...

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

I should probably show pictures of what happened. IMG_20171018_173112_540.jpg Capture.jpg Don't worry, I shaved my head soon after this picture. 20171021_100004.jpg On the bright side, my garage now has drywall and insulation! I'm gonna mud and paint in the spring since it's so cold and I'm lazy. I ...

Re: The Rust Project

I would have expected at least SOMETHING from 3m. It rusted probably the fastest of the bunch. Even faster than the galvanizing from home depot.

Re: Ressurecting E30Tech - The story thread

Yea I hate giving other people my stuff. Private hosting is pretty worth it to me honestly. But even then, maintenance is a pain. I hate the cloud but it's just so damn convenient.

Re: The Rust Project

https://photos.app.goo.gl/ilte7h0NPSVCQzzE3 I'm on mobile so I'll just post the Google doc link to the pictures. Clear coat finally failed but the white appliance epoxy is doing great. Basically everything is at least rusting around the edges but the rust bullet is by far doing the best. I'm extreme...

Re: Ressurecting E30Tech - The story thread

He banned me after he found out what I was doing (instead of addressing the issue). But after a few weeks, one of the mods contacted me and said they'd let me back in if Chris was still MIA after a few more weeks. So, I'm unbanned now. But tech is very much dead. I feel like it's been dead for so lo...

Re: Ressurecting E30Tech - The story thread

I should install statistics on the archive site. I doubt anyone's hitting it right now. Good thing I did it when I did. I have no time to do it at my new job.

Re: How To: A (Nearly) Complete CV Axle Removal and Rebuild

There might be a photobucket plugin for whatever browser you're on to see the pictures. Ryki is pretty busy and hasn't been back online in a while. I'd fill in the blanks but I've personally never done this.
