Re: 87 325e dies on acceleration when warm

Fuel pressure regulator is my next guess. But when you pull 0psi, see what the power going to the pump is. You could have an issue with your wiring.

Re: 87 325e dies on acceleration when warm

Re: 87 325e dies on acceleration when warm

Hook it up when cold so there's no pressure but look at it when warm. I just normally leave the gauge on my cars permanently.

Re: 87 325e dies on acceleration when warm

Looks like something electrical. Like a wire is coming loose for a little bit. Still thinking fuel pump.

Re: 87 325e dies on acceleration when warm

What does the car sound like when it's slowly dying? Just slowing down or does it actually feel like it's misfiring? I'd point towards fuel pressure more than anything ignition related. Could also be the crank position sensor but that doesn't make sense if it's an engine heat issue. Fuel pressure ga...

You mean can't be done unless you're extremely knowledgeable? It's not too bad honestly. It's a pretty direct swap.

Re: 1986 Baur cracked head repair help!

I find a cracked head to be pretty odd for a car that isn't turbocharged. If you want to keep the engine for the long term and you have the will power, I would pull the motor and do a full rebuild. Probably doesn't need it, but why not do a full restoration? Change everything out while you're in the...

Re: Delanoso's resurrection thread

Yea I mean... fuck it, replace everything. Worst case, it's not the right parts but you won't have to replace those other bits for a looong time.

Re: The official: E30Tech is down again thread

I suppose the down time has nothing to do with the domain renewal. But I don't get why chris would be paying for a database separately. It's cheaper to bundle. Even then, he should have automatic payments up... So...... I have no idea why this is happening. Even this forum is all auto pay. Not like ...
