[quote="M20_fever"]Are you sure it's the clutch and not the engine missing?[/q

Re: dual mass clutch

Yoshi wrote:most 'e' models got a dual mass. I've found some with thick ass singles.

i know that the dual mass ones are thick and if i where to get a single mass flywheel out of a 325i would the thinner one work? i am thinking that the throw out baring would not have enough throw.

Re: dual mass clutch

clutch must match flywheel. I think the rest can stay the same assuming it's from the same motor. EG I'm not sure an M42 dual mass is swappable with an M20 single mass without at least a throw out bearing. do u know where i could get a fly wheel for a 1987 325 with a 2.7l. i have looked up some but...

turbo manifolds

what is the better turbo manifold for the 2.7l engine. i have found that the one that uses the stock cast iron manifolds off the head are cheaper than the full top mount ones that have a pipe for each port. dose anyone have any info

Yes it is the Flywheel not the clutch. Is there an advantage to the dual mass one than the single And will It hold up to a turbo setup

Re: max HP on stock internals?

Fwiw there's a YouTube video of guy in Sweden with the 2.7/I head combo who's got a stock bottom end except for arp fasteners throughout who's rumored to have been making nearly 600(at the crank) for the last few years. No idea what size turbo he's running, nor if it's been rebuilt yet. what is the...
