Re: Delanoso's resurrection thread
Yea I mean... fuck it, replace everything. Worst case, it's not the right parts but you won't have to replace those other bits for a looong time.

Re: The official: E30Tech is down again thread
I suppose the down time has nothing to do with the domain renewal. But I don't get why chris would be paying for a database separately. It's cheaper to bundle. Even then, he should have automatic payments up... So...... I have no idea why this is happening. Even this forum is all auto pay. Not like ...

Re: Delanoso's resurrection thread
The fanning is either caused by a cheap/bad gauge or the fuel pressure really is that inconsistent. The gauge doesn't look high quality (iunno, just a thought) so as long as the car runs fine, I would just figure it's the gauge. Otherwise, inconsistent fuel pressure is likely caused by the FPR. I do...

Re: Yoshi's E46 build
With my limited funding, I'm making these decisions all the time. The trailing arm bushings probably should be replaced. But I slapped the limiters on from the M3 set that came with them (yay $0 mod). The only things I'm spending time/money on are the things that REALLY matter. Subframe reinforcemen...

Re: Merry Christmas guys
I mean someone has to be dumb enough to keep the premium payments rolling. Wouldn't take much to "keep the lights on". But I doubt he makes money where it's worth it.

Re: Merry Christmas guys
That still doesn't explain why he said he would be around then went MIA again. He doesn't care about tech but won't let someone else run it. It's so confusing.

Re: Yoshi's E46 build
The physical casing is very different so I'd have to swap innards. That would include bearings and tools I still don't have. Plus, whenever the LS goes in, I'm swapping to the M3 210mm rear diff so welding the stock diff is great for now (it's a 188). I might look harder into LSD options for the M3 ...

Re: Merry Christmas guys
Wife's family has a couple of drag racer guys that run legit drag cars. Like not street driven, full on drag race cars. One guy is building a 2JZ ford falcon right now. But he's put it on the back burner so nothing is happening. Took him 8 months to get the right valve cover.

Re: Yoshi's E46 build
Well I'm still welding in the reinforcements. The package just showed up last night lol. LSD options for E46s are poo at best. The M3 diff is kind of an LSD but even for drifting they don't work well. No other factory LSD option unlike E30s. So then I have to get a $2k LSD from the aftermarket and t...

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!
On a half daily car, delrin is a bit too harsh to me. I can always change my mind. For now it's just going to stay stock as it is now unless it turns out the stuff in there now is bunk. I just got myself an electric wrench. After I got an expensive electric impact gun, my time in the garage has sped...

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!
You sound like me aside from not wanting to wrench. I don't have the time to, but I like wrenching. I've been looking into tools to make things faster. Next up on my list is an electric ratchet wrench. I got the impact to break stuff loose but some places are too tight. Like you get one click from a...

Re: Yoshi's E46 build
Sure? Technically it isn't even a swap since it's the same motor. Everything I'm doing now is to just get the damn thing running. Next step is to replace the two brake lines from the ABS unit back. Can't wait... It's not too bad from what I remember, I just hate bending lines. Especially since it's ...
