Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

Other than the oil dribbling out everything looked dry. I actually had that link open on my phone already. I skimmed it very briefly. I just need this car to last until I get the black one on the road in the spring. Then I can fix everything on it correctly and have a very reliable car.

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

Is it possible for coolant to leak into the clutch? A couple times last night, and then again once this morning, when starting from a stop in 1st gear something didn't feel right. It didn't feel like the clutch was slipping exactly. It felt more like the clutch engaged and disengaged several times b...

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

I know in a lot of cars the whole dash needs to come out to replace the heater core. I'm hoping that's not the case with our cars. From what I've read there's 2 different versions. I don't know which one I have yet. No time to even look.

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

My guess is the heater core is leaking, which would explain the strong antifreeze smell inside my car, especially after it warms up enough for the thermostat to open. I would expect the carpet to be wet with antifreeze though, but so far it's been dry every time I checked. Thinking that might also b...

Yeah, I guess in that way I was lucky. I really gotta figure out where all my antifreeze is going though.

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

Looks like I didn't totally get off the hook. I've been having to top off the coolant every few days and there's a strong smell of it inside the car when I'm driving. I haven't seen any evidence of a leak anywhere. Carpet is dry, no drips under car, no antifreeze mixed with oil, and no huge clouds o...

I musta missed the post about a Honda forum. I've been so busy that I might have just half read something. Is that website about your welding skills? :-D

Re: Bought a couple turbos

Check it out http://domainbigdata.com/216.250.120.125 or http://domainbigdata.com/74.208.88.89 you can see a list of some of the domains on the same IP. That's weird, yesterday I found that 216 IP, but when I look it up this morning I see that IP as the nameserver address, and 74.208.88.89 for the d...

Maybe it's blocked because this site shares an IP address with sites such as "thepenisbetweenus.com" lol.

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

We always used to bump each other in high school, lol. Sometimes a little harder than we intended, but those cars had real steel bumpers...the good old days when the only thing that crumpled in an accident was the occupants, lol. And that's the way it SHOULD be. I'm not saying we should all go arou...

Re: Bought a couple turbos

Well I've got 3 tires if anyone needs them. lol (might have the 4th laying around too and just haven't found it yet) So that must have been a Euro e28 that my boss made me scrap, huh? The car was in great shape. It MIGHT have needed brakes, but other than that the only thing wrong with it that I kno...

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

And forget if it's more than just a little bump. I've seen a major rental company auction off a car for having a dented fender. They consider that a total loss.

Re: Bought a couple turbos

Man you guys are really making me miss having a lifted truck. I had a nice meaty set of 36" Dick Cepek tires ready to go under my 93 Exploder, but I never lifted it enough. Kept blowing up transmissions when I still had the BFG 31x10.5's on it. Speaking of tire/wheel sizes, I just found out yes...

Re: I want to kick this cold weather in the fayse! (engine problems)

New cars do have 5mph bumpers. My Wife's old '06 Expedition got bumped in a parking lot at 3-5mph, no visual damage other than a very small scuff. Took it to my buddies body shop because at the time we thought we might be keeping the truck, estimate was $2200 with the assumption the core took some ...
