Re: race gas in stock comp. M20?
My E30 M3 (10.5:1 CR) got low on gas at Blackhawk farms. I added some of their race unleaded. I thought that the car was running ok, until I saw the lap times.....1.5 secs slower per lap.
I would still go 50/50 though to guard against detonation at high revs.

Re: Error code 1222...uht oh.
The plugs look oil fouled to me.
The amount of carbon on the plug in 8k miles suggests that oil is getting past the rings AND is being ingested from the sump via the bitch pipe.
All this oil is leaning out the fuel mixture, hence the light looking spots on the plugs.
Engine is worn, imo.

Re: Midwest F-Body Road America April 28th and 29th
I ran with BMWCCA at that track a couple of years ago. I was using a "99 M3 with full interior on Toyo RA1 tyres. I did not have the car set up for track as it was a DD. I was running a Ground control kit and HT10 hawks on the front and rear but no ducts. The lack of front ducts hurt big time. On the...

I've been buying those ratchet box wrenches from Advance Auto that have an open end on the one end and the ratchet that you flip the wrench over to reverse instead of the ones that have the reverse lever. Autozone have a 2 wrench kit of Duralast ratcheting wrenches. Each unit has 4 different sizes. ...

If I can find a good ZF 320(E36 328/M3) and a S52 PS pump in Ia Wi or Il.
Both are bad.
It's been a while since my membership with madison SSC expired. Does one have to be a member?

See if you can get a brass hammer. That and a pair of 10WR Vise grips are the most used tools in my box.
One thing I'll get is a 3/8" drive speed handle wrench for valve cover nuts, spark plugs.

Re: 2012 Midwestern Counsel event schedule
As you wise ones have predicted, the dampers are supposed to arrive on the 16th. I picked up a Sparco EVO 2 plus shell for the drivers seat. The seat back is a little short I think. as the shoulder belt holes are low. I'm sharing the car this year so the seat will be higher than necessary as My co d...

Thanks Guys.
I bought a pair of unused inverted rears from a guy last year. I thought I'd buy a complete set for the warranty. Then keep the pair I have for spares.

I was pretty paranoid about the wiring catching fire if I happened to have screwed up at C101.
I started it and kept pointing an iR thermometer along the harness in case it shorted out.

He could part out the JEGS sticker and list that for $2.5 k. Then the car will be priced right.

TMS are fresh out of J stock Bilstein Struts. That slows my plans.
The car has too much straight line speed for the stock suspension on a track.
Maybe Koni have something that will manage the J stock springs.

I bought a set of Speed Bleeders for the E36.
They work ok, but could be a problem if they rusted. Four years on them. So Far So Good.
