Re: Educate me on brake pads

to be honest, the braking on his car got worse and worse. Literally t the point where it was not safe to drive the car. We pulled the calipers, booster was fine, fresh fluid, all the same. Then i noticed there was a weird film on the rotors. Swapped pads, problem went away completely. Might have be...

Re: Spring rate master list

Does anyone know what the rates are for the E30 M3 H&R race springs?
TMS have them listed in a separate (more $$ kit) offer. Or are they trying to be clever?

Re: Changes and improvements at Black Hawk

With the exception of the last couple of years. I used to run Midwest council autoX at BFR with a 7 clone and front drive VWs. I was Cstock champ for one year in the early mid 90's 93 or94 maybe with a Corrado SLC. I am mostly with the Badger Bimmers since switching to BMW chassis and use the 7 clon...

Re: Changes and improvements at Black Hawk

I haven't been there for a couple of years. Looks like we'll have to relearn the track. They have added more asphalt for the early apexers on T7 so it will be faster. With the asphalt patches in the corners, I think there will be more spins in the wet until we figure out the timing and placement of ...

Re: Coil over lengths? (fronts)

You should be safe with 6" springs in the 600Lb range.
A six cyl engine with 6" springs of 300lb or less will blow the front dampers.

Re: Parking brake cable replacement issues...

It is going to be a tough job. Take the car to a mechanic to remove the cable sleeve at the wheel end. Then bring the car home for the easier stuff. I did the same job on an E36 but I had the rear suspension apart for replacement of bushings. Access was tough then, but it will be harder in your case...

The manifold is a lot longer than it looks in the pic.

Re: 2002 Mechanical Restoration w/ M20 Triple Weber

Nice build.
Are those the longest runners you can fit under the hood? 60mm maybe?
I recently converted my Zetec powered 7 to twin DCOE 45s
I used a 90mm runner manifold to keep the bottom end torque.

Re: Im not dreaming of ITB's...

The way they went about the conversion was....Unusual. It looked like the packaging of the TBs was seriously compromised. There is little to no length on the intake runners = No torque . I would also guess that the SOHC could not rev high enough to get the top end potential out of the TBs. A rethink...

Re: e30 vs alfa gtv6 VIDEO INSIDE

Seemed like the Alfa was understeering quite a bit, or the Tyres were hard.
Nice bit of road.

Hello.
I think that you meant this:
M3 offset....Asymmetrical.
Centered....Symmetrical.
