If I didn't run 7 qts of oil I would get lifter tick while drifting for long periods of time. It is a common problem for auto x due to the pickup being in the front.
So basically it is a total bitch lol. I just read the writeup on pelican's site. I am going to continue to read before I attempt this. Have to save up some money to get the parts anyways.
Anybody have/know of a good head removal/install writeup for a non vanos M50? I've never done a twin cam head, they scare me. I really need to do a mls headgasket so I can get some power though. Is the bently manual going to cover enough where as it is a one off type of thing? Yoshi, any words of ad...
Today started out great then went to shit. Got a factory bmw manual for 84 318/325's. It is old but there appears to be some good information about the trannies and information about rebuilding diff's. I was happy about that so I decided to go and work on my car. Put my m-diff cover, went to press i...
The metal is 16 gauge I think. They need to be deburr'd but other than that they are nice. I would rather have to many than not enough. Anything I have left I will just save for the next project.

Yay, more stuff came in today, 10 misc. mandrel bends, 4ft straight section, and my mounting arms. Got 10 3" mandrel bends for under $50 shipped, $20 for the straight section, $40 for the cat, $225 for the manifold and I'm not sure what muffler I'm going to run yet, but this system is going to ...
Definately the best thing ever when rebuilding an old car. I used to buy can after can of carb/brake cleaner and scrub with wire brushes for hours. Then I used my friends sandblaster, I never new what I was missing!! Saves hours of cleaning!
Sandblasted my diff cover tonight, went to take a pic of it and my pos camera died... If I didn't spend so much money on this car I would have a camera that is worth using by now.
Exactly, I work on my projects at my parents anyways lol. My IX and my vert are both at their house. The ver has been in their garage since the day I bought it.
