Re: Passenger's side power window shat itself

It wasn't too bad. The switches just swap grounds for the motor and power. Since the motor itself only has 2 wires, the switches simply swap the polarity via internal magic. 5 wires. 1 power feed. 1 power/ground pair for up, then another power/ground pair for down.

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

I think I also may have turned the wheel when getting out of the car. I think we aimed for 0.08 on each side.

Re: Passenger's side power window shat itself

What IS the E36 switch mod? I thought it was just getting the switches and plugging them in lol.

I had to manually power the window at the track to get it up and down. Although I was kicking myself for having rolled it up on my ride home in 95F weather.

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

How do you figure? I took the rear and made it toe in after this. Also the front toe reads oddly because I got out of the car to take the picture (0.08* of toe in both sides with me in the car).

Re: Passenger's side power window shat itself

Capture.PNG Ah well screw you guys I'll answer myself. All windows are powered via fuse #17. The wire at the switch is colored green/gray. The switch itself takes this input (pin 3) and simultaneously grounds either pin 4 or 6 and powers pin 1 or 8. The window motor itself only has 2 wires. So pola...

Passenger's side power window shat itself

Swapping the buttons doesn't work and I manually powered the window at the motor to get the window back up. So it's somewhere between the button and the motor. Time to pour through electrical diagrams but wondering if anyone knows first hand.

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

Capture.PNG I feel like most drifters are secretive of their "Secret sauce" alignment specs but whatever. I don't have before specs in the form of pictures but I had -4.5 degrees of camber in the front and ~10.5 degrees of caster. that's with the GC camber plates flipped to extract more p...

Re: Ressurecting E30Tech - The story thread

From my lawyer friend, the posts are public. So there's no issue with taking any of that. The issue is more the likeness and images.

Ressurecting E30Tech - The story thread

I feel like starting this for archiving and maybe legal purposes. Tech has gone down several times for several months since about 2012. So when it went back up this past week (with no mention from chris or anything) I decided to screen scrape the whole site in case it went down for good. Since user ...

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

Sideways, I was only 2 seconds off a 1 minute lap time in a combo drift/grip day. I feel like that's pretty quick considering I'm on an less than ideal tire width.

Re: Dexter Stage 6: No more motors!

sdtMMdqq2HE Getting more out of the logger and video software so that's nice. I got an axle clicking REAL good so I think it's about time to take care of those. With life changing, I've decided to sell the E46 wagon and use the fund for long term racing. IE consumables and investing in the longevit...
