My E30's gas door locks!

My new champagne auto is the first car where the auto locks work. My fiance was driving it and I noticed the gas cap moved when she locked the doors. OMFG the gas door locks!

Anyone else know of this or am I just that dumb?

Sticky perogitive

This is how it works guys. We aren't very technical yet because the forums are still blank. As long as the other forums are ok with it, you may copy over their info BUT you must cite WHO originally made the post and link to that post. I don't need IP lawsuits ;)

Re: Showroom

I'm debating on new sections. I don't want to open too many for now so I tried to keep topics as broad as possible. As things heat up, i will create more sections.

I should add a track section. For now, I'm obligated to keep a separate drift section since we are E30drifter.com too.

Re: Super stiff = Super sideways?

I dunno if stiffening up that much is a good idea. There is such thing as "too stiff". Traditionally, drifters go for stiffer but you need some give. With that said, I hate soft spring rates. My springs were the 215 and 500 HR race ones and my car would have more body roll than you can thi...

Re: Megasquirt for dummies

Megasquirt is simple in it's essence. One wire goes out of the MS and into a sensor, then it either comes back to the MS or just gets grounded somewhere. Simple as that. If you want to make the MS plunge but don't want to mess up and take months do the following: 0) Get prebiult if you can't solder....

Re: toggle switch start up

http://www.slidewaysonline.com/files/E30_Wiring.zip That is the complete wiring diagram for the E30, you should be able to find what wires go to the ignition. If you give me some time, I can write up something for you on how to do it. You just want a toggle for "on/acc/off" and a button t...

Re: transmision swap

Check how you installed the shifter. You might have done it wrong so third isn't lined up right. Other possibilities are low/old trans fluid (did you change it out?), or just a tranny where third gear is going. You did get it from a junkyard.

Re: need standalone

I should have read this before your other post about FMUs lol. Stand alones are roughly the same installation wise. MS is different because you make your own. Luckily a few guys make adapters for the stock wiring but I prefer making my own. Other than that, its all hook up and go kinda stuff. People...

Re: begi 12:1

youre going to want the walbro pump. the 12:1 FMU will be pushing 130psi over stock fuel pressure so think like 170psi in your fuel lines. Thats insane! Are you still using stock management? You need something to push 15psi. I don't recommend going over 10psi without some kind of aftermarket ecu. Yo...
