It's a thread tho. MT is created BY the same creators as the MS. I can't imagine they wouldn't make software for their own hardware. Tuner studio is 3rd party. MT isn't. Wherever you get the firmware for your MS3x will have the ini for MT.

Last ditch effort is a phone call or email to DIYautotune lol.

sigh, ok I've been working through the MS3 walkthrough I found on DIY, but now TS keeps throwing an error that says: "Warning!! Communication Established! However, there is a configuration error with your firmware. Check to make sure your MS3 firmware is correctly loaded. Going offline."

The only way to get rid of the error is to turn off the stim, but it comes back as soon as I turn the stim back on. I just loaded the current firmware before starting to calibrate the sensors...

edit: I reloaded the firmware again, seems to be working so far.

Base looks good. I forget about skip pulses (or remember it at all). Your cranking and dwell settings will depend on those coil you got. 6 dwell for cranking seems kind of long to me.

I see, well that means nothing to me, I can hardly understand the msq in TS format. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a RPM reading. Chris325IX said he used a jumper to simulate a cam sensor, but I'm not going to be running a cam sensor so I don't think thats the way I should do it. Besides, I have my MS plugged into the MS so I wouldn't know where to jump it to since I can't access the pins, unless i open the case and jump it from the back?

In the MS1 world, you have to select an option on megatune to use that knob. It was called "stim for wheel". The cam sensor, you just need to disable sequential and it shouldn't need it. I'm not sure if where the option is for that. I need to read up but I'm kind of busy at work.

Have you tried using MT with MS3, because everyone else I talk to, including DIY says MT does not support MS3. I'm only working in TS so I have no idea what your describing when talking about MT.

I'm making headway slowly, I was pointed to a nice write up on setting the new Jimstim up for toothed wheel simulation using a jumper on the stim to pin 24 of the DB37. Sounds good but I haven't got it totally figured out yet. :)

Gotcha, it's a whole new world here in MS3 land. :) I've got the stim reading RPM in TS, but only up to 2293ish RPM then it loses sync. I'm working with a couple people to resolve this, I'll update when I get it sorted.

Well it only took 3 years, but I'll update this thread since I'm getting back into this install. I got the RPM issue resolved by correctly setting the JP1 and J1 jumpers on the 3.57 board to 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 respectively. I ended up getting up to 18k rpm after fixing that, so should be fine for my m20, lol.

I'm going to be plucking along at this over the coming months so I'll update when it makes sense. For now, I'm going to install the setup as I bought it, running wasted spark with the 3000GT coils and coil driver using the questionable harness that came with it. Budget is the driving factor here since the Chevelle is still eating most of my car money. If I validate the harness I 'should' have everything I need to get the car running on the MS, then its time dust off that M90 that's been sitting on my shelf for a couple years.
