turbo manifolds

Postby jp 84 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 8:33 pm

what is the better turbo manifold for the 2.7l engine. i have found that the one that uses the stock cast iron manifolds off the head are cheaper than the full top mount ones that have a pipe for each port. dose anyone have any info

IMO just get a cast one and be done with it. The more expensive tubular ones don't add much. The ebay ones will break. OR you can do the adapter to the stock manifolds but that's just ugly lol. good & tight makes great manifolds but you get what you pay for.

G&T doesn't make a M20 manifold. Everything else Yoshi said is valid.

Possibly - the only mass-produced manifolds I can think of are 666 Fab, Revshift (basically the same thing), TCD, and the Ebay manifolds, which basically just copy the original 666/Revshift designs.

I always thought G&T made manifolds for the m20 but wondered why I never saw one. I saw in a thread not too long ago where he specifically said the m20 was pretty much the only common e30 motor he didn't make a manifold for. I imagine the ebay copies make producing one pretty prohibitive.
