the e34 m50 throttle cable ?

which e28 mounts ? the 87-88 535i/s ones or the ones that fit every other e28 ? do they require 13mm spacers on both sides of the engine?

im gonna swap in the vanos while i rebuild a nv but i need these last bits

525i M50 throttle cable from an E34.

Um any E28 mounts AFAIK... I forget which ones I used. I also didn't use spacers. I just cut the threading on them lol.

the black and green mounts are different. from what i can see i need the green mounts. but everyone says the e28 mounts are crap and tear apart easy .. so i might just buy some poly engine mounts to be safe.

please start a new thread :) sounds like you need a lot of questions answered. All I can tell you is, you should use the obd1 sensors and fuck all the obd2 stuff. The sensors on the head should match tho. I might be wrong. I didn't use stock stuff.

The rest of your stuff looks solid

*disclaimer - this thread is not (currently) linked with E30tech. E30Tech has no responsibility if you screw up your swap. Regardless, if you screw it up, it isn't my fault either.

Question about the wiring.

Say I bought this adapter:

http://www.akgmotorsport.com/e30products.html

Am I done with the wiring? It doesn't make sense to me since there is still stuff like Vanos, COP etc. In every how-to thread that I search, they never mention that stuff.

To me, a car with an automatic transmission seemed like a toy for grown-ups. All you have to do is steer? Where's the fun in that?

...so correct me if i'm wrong, but an m50b25nv engine harness will plug right into the c101 of a 91 318i's c101, with possibly only a couple relocations of some of the pins?

then (if i'm using this e34 525i as a donor) i can swap over the throttle cable, use the g240, and e36 engine mount arms, e28 engine mounts, and an aftermarket electric pusher fan and call it a day...

do i really need to use a driveshaft from an e36 manua instead of the 318i's driveshaft, and if so, are the e36 m3 driveshafts the same length & coupling as e36 non-M3 manual driveshafts?

dunno about the c101.

you need the e36 manual shaft iirc. your M42 one will be too long. M3 drive shafts are in the middle iirc. Realoem posts lengths so you can take a look.

It will not just plug in, the plugs are slightly different. You can cut the m50 plug off and crimp on new connectors, insert into an e30 plug and be plug and play.
