ok, so this just popped up on CL: http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/4990945652.html

Since Corben is hooking me up big time with the Turbo and BOV I was going to see if this guy will separate the kit and offer him like $300 for the manifold, waste gate, oil lines, IC, tubing & couplers. Seem fair?

well the seller doesn't seem open to selling the kit minus the turbo and injectors, so I guess I can buy it all and sell the inj and turbo myself. $600 seems like a steal for that kit, opinions?

seems like a decent price. I dunno about the cx racing manifold.

Also makes no mention of the size of the injectors.

Edit: or what type of WG...

What do you want from the kit? There's a GB right meow for a G&T manifold http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119878 $500. but the rest of the kit in the ad you posted seems... sketchy?

That's $500 just for the manifold? Is that a good price? That's all I'm missing from having my turbo setup complete. I applied TWICE to tech though (over 4 YEARS ago!) and I'm still waiting to be approved.

I've seen mixed reviews about manifold fitment, but supposedly this is the updated design that fits better. I can fab so modifying it to fit doesn't scare me. I saw the group buy, but $500 for just a manifold blows my budget. I got him down to $550 for the whole kit so I'm buying it. Here is the listing on ebay for $1700: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-84-91-BMW-3-Series-E30-Turbo-Intercooler-Piping-Downpipe-Catback-kit-/160718198329?hash=item256b8d1639&vxp=mtr, so everything listed plus injectors. Don't really care what size the injectors are since I already have a set of 63# I'm going to be using. I figure I'll sell the injectors and turbo, and I'll be cutting that fart can off the exhaust too, so I can sell that as well. Plus I'll have a better BOV thanks to Corben so thats another item to recoup some cash. All in after parting what I don't need I'll end up with around $250 into the kit, not bad I think.

meh, I'm sure I can get $100 for the turbo, and another $100 for the injectors. $30-40 for the BOV, and maybe $30 for the muffler. $250-270 for the stuff I don't need will put me around $300 all in. *shrugs*

Well, typical Craigslist seller bailed on me and sold the kit before I could pick it up...guess the hunt continues.

As a seller, this is why I do non refundable deposits. You want it that bad? Sure, put up cash up front that you can't get back. Otherwise, first come first server.

I offered to put a deposit down, he said no and he would hold it for me. Figured he was leaving himself open to take better offers which is exactly what happened. If it hadn't been 2 hours away I would have gone during the week...

so I've been cruising ebay looking at some "turbo kits" listed, and for my budget there are a few options. The problem I'm finding is none of the kits in my price range include the down pipe. What's the common solution to this? I don't even see any of these FS on the forums, are people just having the exhaust shop fab the down pipe? CXracing is the only vendor I see offering one, and they want $600 just for the Chinese manifold, down pipe, and knock off turbo. For that much I can get pretty much everything I need minus the down pipe in some of the other kits.
