Its not uncommon to find some pitting. The piston tops look fucking great for that many miles tho.

I know! that's what i thought. The bottom end looks better than my other motor for sure! The head on the other hand...is hard to tell. The valve seals might have been leaking pretty good cause the ports look pretty bronzish like oil, but I am not sure. I'll post some pics of that later.

HG kits come with new seals. Altho taking out all the BS to get to them... isn't fun.

yeah.... We'll see. I know a little more about the head when I pull the cam and inspect everything else... I never noticed any oil smoke or anything...it have something to do with the fact that it was sitting for 4 yrs too....

that and the cables going to the TB, the auto has the extra kick down cable.

Ah... I actually just found it easy to unbolt the throttle body and leave all that attached. I didn't take any of the cables off. I'll add that bit in to now though.

And i must have forgotten about the radiator. I took pics of that though... :D
