Does the 320i use the same suspension as the 318i?

Springs and shocks. What keeps your car tight around corners?

As the title says really, going to be looking for some new springs and shocks soon but on some sites it's says the 6 cylinders have the larger struts and on some it says they have the smaller so I'm confused :)

I dunno about the 320 but the 318s vs the 6 cylinders use different spring rates to make up for the waaay different weight in the engine.

My 320i had the same engine (1.8l m10) as my 318i... Then again my 320 was an e21. Which engine does the e30 320i have? One would THINK that the suspension would be similar to one with engine weighing about the same (see Yoshi's post up ^^^ there).

Sorry I really don't have any hard facts to contribute to your actual question.

E30 320s are a 2 (maybe 2.3) liter M20. They came with the damn getrag 240. VERY odd car. The motor mounts tilt the motor so the trans lines up right.

I've seen three 320s and they all had the same suspension as the 325 does. 320 had the 2.0l m20, 323 had the 2.3l.

Yea it's the 320 2.0l m20, I think I'm going to have to measure the strut size, so much more choice if its the larger strut size
