Springs and shocks. What keeps your car tight around corners?

Eh yes... but for the entirety until one spring is fully compressed. The Jstock spring is a short 200 and a long 900. So it would be whatever the combined would be until the 200lb short spring is fully compressed then it would be 900lbs. The debate isn't how they work, the debate is what the difference is having it as 2 identical spring (or spring sets) but physically separate.

That depends on how they're designed to vary their rate. I wasn't able to tell how they achieve the progressive rate just from looking at them. This discussion makes me want to email Turner for some more information.

It makes me want to know why they chose their set-up but then the emo sets in that I waited too long to grab a set :P

It's modeled after gruppe N racing rates. Theirs were just straight 900.

Then there's a good chance you're right. Like I said, I'd like to try and get some more info from Turner, if I can remember to do so. I've been kinda inactive since I sheared the motor mounts. I'd really like to get new ones, but I can't afford them (and the other maintenance items I want to cover at the same time). 1st world problems....

I read it somewhere long long ago. IIRC the gruppe N rates were stiffer in the rear. I think still 900 in the front though.

TMS J stock springs are made by H&R and come in an H&R box
May still be available if one asks for the H&R catalog #?

no, I tried when I was looking for suspension. The TMS rates are proprietary and H&R won't share them (at least not back when TMS still offered them). I would assume they had a contract preventing them from selling direct, but that may have changed now that Turner doesn't offer them anymore.

The issue is that H&R won't sell any specialty made springs such as the J-Stock ones unless they are bought in a group of 50. I talked with TMS to see if I got a group buy set-up but they said it probably wouldn't work for xyz reason. I just waited around and kept up a WTB ad in R3vlimited.

I can understand that from a business perspective.
