Best way to rust proof?

Fiberglass, body panels, valences. Also interior pieces like seats, dashes, etc

Best way to rust proof?

Postby Yoshi » Tue Nov 27, 2012 2:15 am

I had some patches I welded on my floor. I used truck bed liner to seal it. At one point, I literally just poured the can onto the floor and spread it around with a brush. It's rusting because I have leaks I can't find. I'm assuming the bottom is as well. I have some rust bullet (like por15) but it's so damn expensive. What is cheaper that will stop the rust from forming?!

I swear by this stuff, did the whole under carriage of the Chevelle with it and I use it on my truck which is my winter vehicle, its a '99 and almost no rust. I get it at NAPA.

the satin black in a gallon is around $30 but it goes a long way. I did almost the entire Chevelle with a gollon and I laid it on thick. It can be thinned and sprayed as well.

a gallon should be more than enough. I think that's the next project on my car after it comes back.
