IS/ES airdam brackets

Postby Lames » Thu Mar 19, 2009 5:28 pm

Thinking about making some ES/IS airdam brackets in bulk for the old DB cars. Then trying to sell some too. Any thought's/ideas? Plastic vs metal, prices people will buy at, shear points no shear points, what ever you think. Throw your thoughts up! Thanks.

seems pretty simple, I'd use metal that can be "adjusted" i.e. bent a bit fit when needed.

lol, damn 155 and free shipping, how ever in the world could i beat that. :)

Thanks for the post, but holy hell do people actually buy them for that much!? Not only would I make the brackets I would also include the big curved piece that goes along the top of them plus the bolts. Maybe I need to make a set and see how much I can get away with selling them with.

I'd match the guys price on Ebay and sell them for much less on the forums. :P

Ya, I bet it be pretty easy to make a set, I need to try my hand at it.

Everyone else kept saying they wanted plastic ones. I didn't know about the plastic though. I thought the metal ones would be better. I might be able to make both. Well I feel bad for that guy but I guess I'm gonna have to pee on his parade.

If you want I can get plastic ones made. I just need one of the originals to send off to my manufacturing company. There would be a minimum order of about $10k though, but you would end up with about 10,000 of the mounts.

lol it's all good. If I wanted them in plastic real bad, I could create a mold with my CnC and make a press to force the ABS plastic into it for far less. and create a big patch of them when ever I wanted. I just don't want to have to get that indepth. That would cost a bit more than I really want to do right now. :) But thanks for the offer.
