A second Option for those wanting a M-tech 1 spoiler...

Postby ten2doyle102 » Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:30 am

My Friend had a spoiler on his car of which I always thought was a Genuine M-tech1 but in actuality, its a 525is Spoiler. I just never realized that they were so similar. I got this for $35 so its worth it too me!

The middle two holes line up perfectly, but the outer two need to be re drilled a 1/4" out. The wing fits well, but it will over hang in the trunk just a hair.

Should fit like this...But I'll do a better job.

I'll get a better pic of that area. Its got a slightly different radius than the trunk so unless you "stretch it forward on the trunk, you might get a little gappage. I'll post a pic of what I am talking about tonight.

That is the fitment issue I was talking about, I wonder if you can fill that gap with something like black silicone or something?

That's a perhapsability..... Its not bad though. You can't see it cause the wing extends past the trunk lid and hides it a bit.
