Re: Brake Sensor Light Stay On
I assume you checked the sensors, but most likely its the sensor wire which can get nicked, especially in the front where the wires are attached to the strut and alot of moving parts abound.
Unplug sensors at one wheel, but leave on the other three sensors. Start the car, and if that single sensor activates the light, its your problem sensor or wire. If it stays unlit, that sensor and wire is okay. Do this test to all four wheels.
Because this is a VERY common problem, tuners who work on their cars and have tried to fix this minor problem in vain, have also disconnected the brake lining light inside the instrument cluster since they know/or can easily check, the thickness of the pads themselves. Just take out the instrument cluster, go to Brake Lining light location, spin small light out of socket on back of instrument cluster (it has no wires attached to it, bulb connects off circuit board).

Thanks, Glen. I'll try it to see if it work but to my knowledge that are only two brake sensors, left front and right rear.

Sorry. Dah. Was thinking of ABS sensors not pad sensors...

Nah, it happens all the time. The wires get messed up or something.... Mine is on now, but that's because of two things....1, I don't have the sensors and 2, one of the wires got cut. You can fix this by soldering the two wire together to complete the circuit. I just haven't do that yet.
