Going back to stock ecu

Postby ivprodigy » Sat Aug 09, 2014 4:20 am

I'm having issues with tuning my DIYPNP MS. It cranks but won't start. Probably need to get it looked at. All in good time I guess.
In the meantime I picked up a stock ecu 173 and an afm.
The problem now is that the fuel pump will not prime so the car still won't turn over.
The ms unit is plug and play so the harness was retained.
I haven't had a chance to dig through the forums and wanted to start here to narrow the issue down.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks guys

There's a relay for the fuel pump. First check if there's power getting to the fuel pump AT the fuel pump. Then check the relay getting a signal.

report back once you have that info.

This was a busy weekend so I didn't get a chance to test the relays but in the spirit of throwing more $ into the problem I just ordered a stock wiring harness to go with the stock afm and ecu. I'll update when I get it installed

Yep the harness used...
I realize buying a used harness is probably a crap shoot but it's just as questionable as the used ecu and afm...

I'll keep you posted. Hopefully I have time soon to work through it.
