I just got reminded of this from Yoshi's new theme thread.

Are we doing a competition or should we just start posting examples for critique?

Ok ladies and gents. Tell me what to change.

side note: I thought it would be a cool idea to use a member's car, so I grabbed a photo of Hella 325's car. Hope you don't mind man. haha. Let me know if you do, I'll make a new one.

Liking #3 as well. Just curious, is there any way you could do like a cloud of tire smoke behind the car, that spans the width of the logo? With it fading out towards the 'e30' end, the lettering kinda emerging from the smoke? I have no idea how you would do it haha, but the image in my head seems pretty cool.

Yeah, I'll give that a try later tonight.

Smoke and colors. It's hard to see the smoke on the green background since the background of the graphic is transparent (blends better and looks more professional for a site logo/banner). Assuming we get the new white background Yoshi's talking about, here's what it will look like.

Also, I could change the underline colors to something other than M colors. Example: black/red/yellow (german flag)
Or, get rid of it all together! haha.

Let me know!

Edit: made the german flag colors.

More smoke! Haha like it, but imo it looks cleaner without the underline. But I do like the M colors better than the German colors.

WELL DONE! Love the M// colors and the German flag colors, both look great! Leaning more towards the German flag colors right now though, looks awesome.

I had forgotten all about that site. That's where I used to get a lot of my fonts from. Thanks for reminding me! :-D
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325is (newest project)
Arktisblau 5-speed 86 325e (current DD)
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325e (parts car/LS1 swap?)
Gazellenbeige automatic 85 318i (70,000 miles)
Alpine white 5-speed 87 325is (my first e30, possibly for sale)

Yeah that's a great site. I've used it in the past before too. Great source.

Thanks! I'm kinda leaning toward the german flag colors as well. I think both look good though.

Haha. I don't want to make too much smoke to make it overbearing. I can add more if you guys want though.
I thought it looked cleaner without the colors at first too, but if we're gonna have smoke, it kinda gives the smoke a place to come from, like the car is sliding on top of the underline. Without it, the smoke looks a touch odd imo:
