Well the reason we have them was for the US mandate about 5mph bumpers, cars had to be able to withstand a 5mph impact without any damage. That's why we got these gaudy things, and just about everyone with a US early model car wants to swap to plastic bumpers or the world market chrome 'euro' bumpers.

I think its good how people can find niches even in just the e30 realm! Whether that may be diving boards or the 2 vs 4 door debate or adding some euro thing here or there or repainting something : )

I'm looking forward to a plastic bumpers and euro valence with black hood, roof and trunk with the grey and black interior and checkered sport seats :D

Were plastics optional on verts? I've seen 92's with diving boards and small tails, and 88's with plastic and large tails. How did they determine which bumpers/tails you got? Could you even choose, or was it completely random?

if you saw a vert older than '91 with plastics it was converted. Same goes for '92 with db.

I can see converting the bumpers, but changing over the tails too would be quite a bit of work. I have pictures of a 92 in the junkyard with boards and lil tails. Maybe it was a leftover body?

people will sometimes put db on after an accident because they are so much cheaper than plastics.

Must be RHD season over here. Just saw one of those RHD British taxi-mobiles. The old school ones. Not sure of year, but it looked pre-50's.

Looked kinda like this one. I think it was a little older too, and maybe not the same brand.

I'm not sure if that'll show up in the post, and I dunno how to translate that domain name, but if you go right to the link the picture shows up.
