So my car doesn't have much for options, but the weird thing is it says it has deleted clear coat? The clear is definitely peeling on my car!

It's a little complicated now. you enter in the username and password. but you don't use the main site. you use the ASAP Portal pop up. You put your vin in the second box and hit "Suche". From there, you hit the Features thingy down below. Then select english. Hopefully the screen shots I put up are in order.

Edit: reverse order. So look at them backwards :)

So.. I'm going to be clueless for a minute.. What was the tourists version?
I mean, I know the touring was the wagon, but mine isn't a wagon and has Touristen-ausfuehrung on the factory list. Google was kind enough to translate that to "tourist version" for me.

I think that just means it was for over seas shipping. Nothing special.

BMW used to have an option (not sure if they still do it) for you to buy your car in your home country, then travel to Germany, drive it around there for a while, then have it shipped back to your country. I would assume that would be the "tourist version", but I could be wrong.

Looks like they still offer it. They call it the "European delivery program". http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/ ... rTrip.aspx
