Automation Game - Recreating the BMW E-30 325i

Postby WildKarrde » Sun Jan 26, 2014 7:47 am

As many of you know, I've been shamelessly promotion Automation. No, I'm not part of the development team, and I don't get anything for talking about the game. I'm just really excited about all that's possible with it. I'm most excited about what I just created though... a fairly decent replica of an E-30! I've tried to recreate it in game a couple times now, but there just wasn't a model in game close though to the E30 to make a convincing mimic. The one I used on this attempt has almost everything right, but the trunk. Close enough for me though! So here it is:

The back kinda looks like a 3.0CS. Oh, and your exhaust is on the wrong side. ;-)

Yeah unfortunately you can't square off the back end any more than that.

You mean on the engine? Yeah, they don't give you the option to choose which side the headers are on, lol.

Ooh I wanna play with that. Can you share cars you create with other people so they don't have to do it all from the beginning?
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325is (newest project)
Arktisblau 5-speed 86 325e (current DD)
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325e (parts car/LS1 swap?)
Gazellenbeige automatic 85 318i (70,000 miles)
Alpine white 5-speed 87 325is (my first e30, possibly for sale)

lol-ing at the Cd and "downforce at 124.3 mph"

A couple stats seem to be off, but overall it's a great job! Much better than I could pull off, I'm sure.

Well... there is a free demo. ;) I think you can share cars now... but probably not in the demo.

I've actually made quite a few different cars since this one, my car company thread can be found here:
