Definitely the worst airport to tow a car out of. The security stands around watching you, then when it's time to leave they disappear. 20 minutes later they tell you they have to call the supervisor to bring over "the book", and another half hour or so they finally bring it. They take as long as possible to get the extra charge for parking a tow truck that was never parked. The only answer they can give to that is "Wasn't your truck in park when you were loading the car?" I answered "Not when I'm driving the truck with a manual transmission." They couldn't even respond to that one.

As far as actually flying... The only time I ever flew I had a lot better luck in Newark than I did coming back from Vegas. We missed our flight coming back and had to sleep on the floor in the airport. We found a nice quiet corner of the airport with no people to sleep in and woke up a few hours later to find people surrounding us waiting in lines. At least they had slot machines there though. I won a bunch of those silver and gold $10 coins.

how th efuck do you even tow from the lifting eye when the hood opens forwards? I wouldn't believe one work that tard says. If the car checks out after visual inspection, buy both and put the late model engine in the early chassis. Then you can dump the roller at Yoshi's house to be recycled.

The red late model is no longer interesting to me. Someone hacked out the entire dash and everything behind it, took the drivers fender and the headlights. If nothing else I definitely wanted the headlights from that car.

They had the hood up, but not open... Or open but not up, depending on how you look at it. The cord was running under the front of the hood. If you saw the car you would believe that's what happened to it... As far as the starter dying while driving down the highway though, that's another story. I'm hopefully gonna pick that car up right after the new year. It's an IS in decent shape, so I don't think I can lose, even if the engine is toast.

not if the rest of the car is clean. You can snag an m20 for $300 and have a winner.

Looks like someone helped themselves to some parts though since I first saw it. I don't remember both interior door handles being missing. Few other things missing like the tweeters, but nothing major. The gas door fell off while I was towing it, so it could be anywhere. I have another one on my black parts car, so I'm not worried. Thinking it's time to put the white 325is to rest once and for all. If anyone is interested in it PM me and maybe we can work something out. It definitely needs some rust fixed, like the battery tray is missing the entire bottom. The black one has some rot under the back of the fenders on both sides, but otherwise I haven't seen anything bad. Battery tray is solid.

What is with those chrome wheel arches? lol.

Damn that's a good find. Cow catcher is even intact. That's my fav look for early models.

I used to always want a car with the chrome above the wheels. I thought that was such a nice look on many cars, especially BMW and Mercedes (and early 90's Honda Accords).

I'm probably not gonna start working on this car until the spring. Who knows though. I need to steal parts from my white one for this, and I don't feel like making the journey through the snow to get to the white one.

Hopefully when it warms up I'll be able to get a picture of all 5 of my e30's lined up before I have to get rid of one. This is the most expensive one I've ever bought, but only by $100. More pics when I start a build thread for it.

Aw hood blemish. But damn. I'd be happy to own that car.

I almost want to get another M20 powered E30. I enjoyed just flooring the damn thing everywhere. Can't do that with the LS.

I have a spare black hood, so it's no problem. Why can't you floor the LS all the time? I would. lol Would you be interested in my white car? She's not the prettiest anymore, and needs some work.

Wife would kill me if I got another car. Well one that wasn't an RHD 99 impreza she's been asking for.

I can't floor the LS because either I make huge tire marks, make loud sounds, or wind up way over the speed limit.

bleh, tell the cop you thought that was the MINIMUM speed limit. :-D

Where did you find a girl into RHD cars? lol, I'm currently trying to talk this girl I know into getting an e30, but she said she'd rather have a Nissan Sentra cuz the e30 is too big. I checked the specs, the Nissan is slightly larger in every direction!

On another note... Found ANOTHER e30 today that I TRIED getting my hands on, but no dice. White 1989 325i 5 speed vert sitting on top of a 4 car carrier in the Bronx today. I asked the guy how much he got it for and what he'd sell it for. He said they picked it up for $50 or $100 and they will only sell it broken down into parts. Dammit!

Wife wasn't into cars until me. She got into an accident with her Rav 4 and consulted me for a next car. Her mom was big into safety and wanted her to get an explorer. I talked to my wife (GF at the time) that small cars are fine (she likes small cars) and that AWD would be safe to ease her mother's concerns. She opted for manual because I think we were still at that point in the relationship where she was trying to impress me. Now she loves subarus (totes about that symmetrical AWD everywhere). I don't know where she got RHD from. She wants some kind of project car. So I think we are going to do it eventually.

Fuck verts. 89 verts are still diving board too. Get parts lol.
