Sad words here with people talking about moving away from e30's. :-(

I really wanna see that e30 pick-up project. Tons of pics from start to finish when you start working on that.

Honestly, I would seriously consider trading my e30 for relatively clean stock e30...With two kids, a 2 seat car with no back seat is hard to get out in.

You interested in a mostly garage kept low mile 4 door auto that needs minor body work?

Get a paint marker and write a reminder on every window. :-)

I used to document every step of everything I did. Now I just want to get it done. That's why my youtube series just stopped. Well that and the baby killed working on car time.

I've always been bad at documenting things. When I did my engine swap I actually took like a dozen pictures and put every screw, nut, bolt, etc. in ziplock bags and wrote where they came from. If I didn't do that I'd STILL be trying to put that car back together. lol. Other than that I'm pretty bad at it. Unfortunately that means sometimes I notice an extra bolt when I'm almost done putting everything back together and have to rip it all apart again.

I've taken so many E30s and E36s apart that just looking at a bolt, I can tell you where it goes. Especially for their heads.

If it were a manual I may...

I haven't had a chance to work on anything so documenting and posting hasn't been a concern, lol.

If I traded it would be for a totally unmolested original late model that I could restore. It would need to match it's factory build sheet, and have all the VIN matched sheet metal. I figure mine is worth somewhere in the $8k range as it sits. If I put a decent paint job on it, maybe $10, so I'd be looking at trades in the similar price range which would be a really clean stock car.

Yeah, I didn't think you'd go for the trade. I'm sure I'd be getting the better end of that deal, but part of me didn't want to do it either. I actually want to be the one to restore that car. As far as I know it's 100% stock except for the shocker sticker on the back windshield.

Ya, it wasn't called shocker when that car came out, that was a late 90s, early 2k deal. Everyone knew what that was but it didnt have a specific name uet
