Happy holidays home dogs

Postby Yoshi » Fri Nov 25, 2016 12:36 pm

So starts the holiday season. I don't have time for anything car since the 6 week old needs constant attention or I have to run errands while wife tends to him. It's ok, I don't have spare cash for car stuff anyhow. :(

What you guys up to?

Merry holidaymas! Hoping to get my light show up and running this weekend, and car shopping again...Tired of dealing with the 5.4 in our Expedition so we're trading it in for a '15 EcoBoost Expedition EL. More room for the kids junk and a full 100k warranty, yay! I hate car shopping though...totally exhausting. Have to squeeze some vinyl work in this weekend too, not sure how I find time for all this stuff, oh yeah, no sleep, lol. If I can squeeze in a couple hours I'd like to get the fuel cell mounted in the Chevelle...That thing needs to be drive-able by spring, I'm having major e30 withdrawals...

Ecoboost expedition. That sounds oxymoronic to me. But man, that would make a great tow/family vehicle.

Dude, that motor is a twin turbo v6 putting out nearly 400HP/400lb/ft, almost 60hp more than the 5.4 v8 in our current Expedition. The only thing Eco about it is the name, lol, gets like 15mpg.

test drove a couple, and have to say it has plenty of power for a 3 ton truck. Ever with traction control on it will wag the tail off the line. Turbos are sized well, boost comes on early an smooth, goes flat up top as would be expected. Very nice engine, though the certified power train warranty is a must.
