2.79? Seems like an odd gear set. What year/make/model did they come in? My guess is e34 525i auto?

why does he want such a tall gear? I would want at least a 3.73 for an eta, 2.93 would be a dog around town, unless he wants better highway MPG.

I may part with my 2.93 one day. It's a 4 clutch though.

With the ZF, the 2.93 isn't a bad option. The 3.73 is just so short. The 2.93 will be... decent?

Well its got a 2.93 in it now. But yeah pretty much daily mpg is what hes going for for now. Engine swap down the road. Im sure if a 3.73 came up in the right price range it would be an option. I mean at 70 youd be running around 3k rpm with a 3.73 and the eta redlines at 4500 rpm..... It would feel like it could climb a tree with a 3.73 im sure.

If you still want one in a few months. get at me. I'm debating on lots of stuff currently. I'll trade if you can find me a 3.25 that'll fit with no mods in an E30 :)

you already bastardized it with an LS, might as well throw a Ford 9" in there.

Might stick with the 2.93 for that one. Might go 3.73 or 4.10. Dunno! I currently have all three though!
