WTB 200 Cylinder head

Postby symplej » Sat Nov 28, 2015 9:41 am

If anyone would happen to have one that cheap guy could afford lol
I warped the head on my eta and am in need of a new one.
I can't due extensive engine work, due to funds, but the head definitely needs replaced -lll._.-

The cost of flattening the head should be about the same amount for a new head. How do you know it's warped?

To answer your real question though, I don't know anyone with a head near you. LKQ might have some.

Well, I should have said that I reason to believe that it is warped.
it over-heated a time or two because I don't have a temperature gauge so couldn't watch it.
So I pulled it off to rebuild it, and I was trying to get the rocker shaft out, and it is just stuck in there. That was my first reason to believe that it was warped, but i didn't want to just assume, so I took it to the mechanic I go to and we tried to get it out there, we still couldn't get it out, I did the proper steps, but full load on #6 the removed the first rocker, then pull full load on #1. so we set it down on a flat surface, and it had some wobble to it, so he said that he's about 95% sure that it's warped.
And if I get it flattened, will that allow the rocker shaft to go back in easier, or will those parts still be warped?
I know a guy that may do it for me for a reasonable price. So I may just take that route

Never heard of a head warping like that... But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I dunno man. Take it to a machine shop and ask about it?

I'll see if I can get ahold of the machine shop today.
There's like no visible screwiness either lol
But with warp, it could be miniscule.
No cracks.
All of the exhaust arms are loose. Woo! -yuush-
