Thanks Yoshi. The interview spot was right next to the rig lol. I'm pretty sure there aren't any showers there... I'm glad you commented, I was beginning to worry that it sucked.

video is very well done. Can someone explain to me how you "win" a drift race, because I don't think I've ever seen any kind of pass in drifting.

Thank you. Drifting is a judged motorsport. 3 judges decide who drifts better by determining line, speed, angle, and overall impact.

Usually you are given apex cones of where you need to hit. You need to hit those spots as fast as possible while as sideways as possible.

The other side of that is tandem matches. The person following needs to not only keep up but put pressure on the guy in front to make a mistake. If the guy in front still hits all his apexes and is sideways while pulling away, it's an auto win.

They go one person in front, then switch. Take the best of the 2 laps.

Generally:
If you are following, keep up, get as close to that mofo in front of you as possible. If he messes up, passing is an auto win.

If you are leading, pull away while sideways.

Spins are auto 0 points for that run, same with straightening out.

Top32 are usually based on the same 3 criteria but also you are judged on entry speed into the first corner. Some guys make a game of it.
