It's not ALWAYS fun going sideways

Lets face it, E30s love going sideways.

It's not ALWAYS fun going sideways

Postby 87e30 » Thu Nov 24, 2011 4:01 pm

Coming back into Jersey on route 80 the other night it was raining so hard you could barely see. There's 2 lanes of traffic, mostly 18 wheelers, and everyone is still trying to drive as if it was clear and sunny. I'm doing about 60 in the left lane curving to the right trying not to get rear ended by a truck, and all of a sudden I start hydroplaning. omg I nearly turned my red seat brown! I started going sideways between an 18 wheeler and the divider with only what seemed like a few inches on either side. I got off the gas and got her going straight and almost got creamed by the truck behind me. Same thing happened again about 3 minutes later. I think a new set of tires is in my near future. The ones I have obviously suck on wet ground.

Yokohama's here I come!

I was kinda hoping I could wait until I at least did my suspension, and was hoping to find a nice set of 17's, before springing for new rubber.
