Bought a 60D

Postby ten2doyle102 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 11:59 am

So I bought a Canon 60D and couldn't be happier with it! I have a 50D and a XSi (which is now forsale... lol) prior to this and the 60D just seems to take a better picture. It focuses better with all my lenses it seems and is faster. The other plus is the it takes SD card instead of the Compact Flash card like the 50D.

The other thing I notice is much better is the noise control. My 50D would really start fading off up toward 2000 iso where as this seems to hold it together better. I have read that this is mostly due to Canon's more refined processing system in the camera, but what do I care, it seems much better!

Took some quick photos last night too! All these are straight out of the camera. Shot with my Siggy 50-150OS

Nope, not really... That looks more like anti-planking. Planking requires your belly to NOT be touching something, not be the ONLY thing touching. lol, most people do it wrong anyway.

Hey that's the same body I have! Love mine as well. One thing the 50D has is higher frame rate, 6.5 vs 5.3 or something. Still rather have my 60D though.

Right, only time I use it is at an autoX. And with as many pics I tale now, an extra FPS would just mean even more to sort through.

We had a little e30/bmw/friends meet this week so I put the 60D through a little work out. I am still extremely pleased with this camera's performance. It just seems so much easier to operate and get good shots the first time. All these photos are straight off the camera. No editting! :)
