Looking at picking up a local e30 for parts....

Postby ten2doyle102 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 8:09 pm

and wanted to see what others might be interested in? Its a 1991 318is with a 4.10lsd in the rear. Still runs fine, supposedly has a decent interior, sport seats. It has smiley head lights, but I will probably keep those.

I know the rear bumper, hood, wiring harness, cluster and seats are likely spoken for, but I am curious what anyone else would like. I need to atleast come close to breaking even on it I would hope. Everyhting else is up for grabs. Just let me know what you will want.

Here's a quick post:

How much would you want for the pass door? I also need one cap for the weaves. Is the pass side grill broken? I only need the drivers side.

$50 for the door, 10 for the grill and 10 for the cap. Did you still want the bumper too???

I am likely going to pick it up this weekend.

Sounds good. Otherwise we will be in Miltown Christmas. If you want to meet then, we might be able to arrange something. :)

I've come to the conclusion that if a parts car costs more than $400, it isn't worth my time. M20s don't go for much these days. Maybe $100. The body panels should net you maybe another $100 in the near term (the rest still sit around till sold). Otherwise, the little knick knacks add up but take forever. I parted out a late model 325i a while ago that I got for $600. Took me 4 months to make my money back. I think I made $800 total off the damn thing. I did keep some of the parts though lol.

Yeah, well if I get half the money back I'll be ahead since I need a ton of the parts for my 323i. Plus the $900 includes brand new snow tires... good for about $300.

I already got people for the seats/headlights,hood,door,wiring harness, spoiler, cluster and foglight. We'll see how it goes. :)

and to be honest, I don't really feel like doing this all over again, but I think it will just be easier to get everything I need for me 323.

I'd say so, a good g260 goes for $300-350 alone. I paid $200ish for the 2.7 donor engine for my stroker.

Over here in the Midwest, e30 parts and cars are becoming grossly overpriced. Its just because 75% of them here are rusted out so those with decent one think they are worth a small fortune.

Anyway, I'll be getting the car next weekend. I guess I have to tow it back cause the steering is all messed up. You....I really think I could invest in a trailer and truck sometime....
