Woo! Hope you found what you really wanted. We actually just kicked off the process of putting a second story on our house, very stressful. On the plus side I get to live in my camper in my back yard for 3-4 months with two kids, two (big) dogs, and two cats.

I think it fulfills everything I need. I just hate the housing process. So much shit to do <_<

On the bright side, 480 sqft garage! I want to do the ucoatit stuff but I can't find good quotes for how much all of it costs without talking to someone. I want to surface the floor, chemical prep it, and put down the coat. Might just hire someone to do it. Except the house buying process will kill most of the savings I'm comfortable spending.

I quote that exact thing out on my 600 sq/ft garage when we bought our house. Keep in mind, this was 10 years ago so it may be very different, but just for materials (me doing the work) it was around $600. I ended up doing nothing due to time constraints on getting out of my rental and into the house, but I really wish I had, and if we do this addition I will be.

Thankfully I have time. Money might be an issue though. $600 ain't bad really. Esp if you never have to fuck with it again.

I did the homework on it, it's a LOT of work if you want it to last. At least if you have a well used concrete floor to start with. You need to get 100% of the dirt and oil out of the concrete. That like 90% of the effort, applying the stuff is cake. Just like bodywork, prep is key.

I kinda just wish my #2 was already 1 year old. Seems like that's where my life will start to get much easier.

It is, the boys turn 2 and 4 in the next couple months and the little things like them being able to walk in and out of daycare makes a huge difference. No more juggling kids/diaper bag to get everywhere. Jason can get in the car and up into his car seat on his own now, which is awesome. Literally cuts my "get the kids loaded" time in half. It's the little things in life...lol.

Right now, I live in a basement. So taking my son to the car (parked on the street) is such an annoyance. I have to open 3 sets of doors, go up one flight of stairs, down the front steps (all 10 of them!), and walk through the yard with a car seat and all the fixings. The new house should greatly simplify that.

ugh..I hated those take and go car seats. I swear I have permanent shoulder problems from that damn thing. So nice just having the kids get in/out. Except when it's pouring rain (i.e. this morning) when I get soaked putting them in/out of the seats in the car...

Yea. lil guy is over 20lbs at this point. I'm pretty strong so it isn't a huge issue. But for the wife? yea...

I really can't imagine why people willingly have babies. I hate this stage of their life. The thought of going through another one is almost enough to not want to bother.
