Yep,
I was looking at the same thing...
That's probably going to put me in a tough group.
Meh, nothing like jumping in the deep end of the pool...

Its not a big deal for getting your feet wet, if you decide to get more serious about the points race you'll need to look into either going further with your build (forced induction) or removing some mods to get points back.

I'll worry about the points another time. I have to sort out the mega squirt and work out a few more kinks.
I'll try to get her registered as an antique this week so I can take her to a shop to go up on a lift...

Your car is an '89? I need to wait another year for antique status. :(

Yep it was built in 10/88 so it worked out perfectly.
Is yours strictly a track rat or do you daily drive it?

Its a street legal track car. I keep plates on it, but I hardly ever drive it on the street. Its really not fun on the street with 1060 rear and 680 front spring rates. I'll take it to a couple g2g Evey summer, and maybe drive it to work a couple times. Now that I have a baby that may happen even less since there is noplace to put a child seat.

Wow,
You drive your car to work too?
I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the 28mile hike to Hoffman in mine. My spring rates aren't as severe (I think they are 950lbs in the back) but I still don't have driver and passenger windows and the seats are the only creature comforts to speak of...

ps
cant you get the child seat mounted inside the passenger seat? I've seen guys take their 5-6 yr olds on track days in booster seats. looked like fun...

Yeah I'll cruise it to work once in a while. I work in Milwaukee so its a nice highway run when they dont have it tore up with construction. I'll be driving it to work as soon as rue roads are clean because the dyno I'm going to is near there so I can head there after work.

Due to my class rules, aside from the race seats and cage, and lack of back seat its stock(ish) interior so bearable on the street, but not comfortable by any means.

My son is only 11 months so not quite too a forward facing child seat. I need to look into the laws about putting the seat up front when there is no back seat. I did it in my truck, but the e30 draws a bit more attention. You can bet I'll have him on track with me as soon as he's old enough.
