check myautoevents.com for lapping days near you If you just want track time, or see If there is a local group doing any hsax events If you want non-w2w competition.

Your car would be pretty tough to classify, although I am thinking your right with SM. STX only allows diffs to be replaced with the same gearing as stock, so a 4.10 would kick you out. Not sure if you would fit in DSP, or if it would be better than being in SM.

Autocross is definitely cheaper/easier to get out and just have fun with the car. I have a friend that has raced at Firebird before, he really liked it.

Edit: I am pretty sure he earned the track time by volunteering as a corner marshal and such, you may want to look into that.

Cool thanks. If I dont mention it, its stock.

MAF and chip + CAI
Headers
Cat back exhaust
75d bushings on everything
IE front swaybar
GC coilovers
4.1 LSD
m3 CAB's
All sound deadening and carpet removed
non stock seats
M3 fenders and skirts + rear bumper

I think thats the meat of it. Brakes are stock now but a BBK is top of my wish list now. So lets say I have the BBK already

without going though the gcr I would guess you would be in a street tire class, or C modified with my organization.

Hahaha whaaaat? If they are using SCCA classing, you won't have a E30 in any mod class, unless you do a ground up tube frame car. Now I do think I remember seeing your car with CP on the side for the event you guys ran at Miller Park. I kinda scratched my head when I saw that, C Prepared is basically just for american pony/muscle cars. Just looked it up, E30 is in EP for 4 cylinders, FP for the 6 cylinder cars.

So let me break the classing down a little. Basically the bumping order is pretty much this:

G Stock>Street Touring X (STX)>D/F Street Prepared>E/F Prepared (both street prepared and prepared depend on what engine you have) The other option is to go from Street Prepared to Street Modified (SM)>Super Street Modified (SSM)

Ok, so my first thought would be STX, but the MAF immediately throws you out of that. I checked on the diff, and I may have been wrong earlier, I don't see anything about gearing having to remain stock. All bushings, sway bar, coilovers are allowed. Seats can be swapped out but have to weigh at least 25lbs each, including mounting hardware. The M3 fenders kick you out of STX as well and actually aren't even legal in DSP, bumper isn't an issue. Although to be honest I don't think anybody would give a rip if you ran those fenders, they don't provide any performance benefit. Gutting the carpet and sound deatening kicks you into SM or something crazy though.

Personally, I would say just run DSP. Your car isn't techniaclly legal, but if you wanted to be competitive in the class you would be on 275 wide hoosiers so it's not like your car will be faster than anyone fully prepped for the rules.

I don't run SCCA, guess I should have mentioned that since this thread is for SCCA rules, lol. In MCSSC hsax classing is different, though I was still in cp for the Miller Park event according to Madison's classing rules.

Gotcha. Guess since I saw C modified I assumed SCCA classing. That and Fox Valley runs SCCA classes, but I forgot they weren't the ones hosting the Miller Park event, my bad.
