ROFL!!! -grin-

The original rear shocks had the dust cover thingie welded on, so even when my previous mounts broke they didn't shoot up through the trunk like the billy's.

New parts! Got my shock mounts all around, but only the shiny aluminum rears are in picture, and got my clear blinker lenses. Was a bit disappointed they didn't have the BMW logo like the ones that cost $20 LESS from another seller, but oh well. They should look really nice with my "switchback" LED blinker bulbs.

Have to figure out wiring problem before putting the LED's in. My drivers side gets brighter when I put on blinker, but passenger side turns OFF with blinker on. Hazards make lights go back and forth! lol

Yeah, I'm leaving for GFest in about 3 hours. So unless your car is REALLY fast I don't think you'll get those stickers to me in time. I should have asked you about it a few weeks ago, because I was thinking it would be great to hand some out. There's always next year I guess.

Since I don't have a tent I will most likely be sleeping in my car tonight. The show isn't until tomorrow, but I'm going up for the BBQ/campout. Hey I wonder if you could overnight some stickers right to Lime Rock...

I'm not paying to overnight them, lol. No biggie, there will be other opportunities. I'm sure someone there will let you crash in their tent.

Next year definitely. I caught about 2 hours of sleep in my passenger seat. My dumb ass should have brought a pillow. I used a plastic bag of clothes as a pillow. It got COLD out there! It was 85 when I left NJ, 65 when I got to CT about 8:30ish, and was down to 45 degrees by 4am when I settled down for a nap.

It probably would if my blower motor didn't fall apart.

Anyway it's ALWAYS much easier to sleep when it's too cold than when it's too hot. I'd rather be shivering than sweating.

So I found out what that rattling noise was in the front of my engine. My timing belt tensioner. Bastard broke on me yesterday morning when I started my car to drive to work. Timing belt slipped a tooth too and the car ran like total shit the whole way to work. Backfiring like crazy and wouldn't go above 2000 rpm unless I played with the gas with the clutch in. Ended up towing it over to Guten to have them fix it because I didn't have the time yesterday, and I needed my car to get home from work. Costs WAAAYYYYY too much having a professional work on your car lol. It's running a lot better now though. The rattle is completely gone, but now I've got a severe valve tap. I just did a valve adjustment a few months back, but I'm HOPING all I need to do is do it again to get rid of the tap. The engine runs strong, so I'm assuming no valves bent.

O_O that shit always scares me man. My current DD is a timing belt car as well. Interference motors suck for my anxiety. Glad your motor is ok. Though, if it isn't and you get a new one, can I have the one in your car now? hehe

Aren't you Mr. Anti-m20? What would you want my engine for? I got an m20b27 in my parts car that I'll probably never even touch...

You referring to the labor? IIRC when I did the timing belt and water pump on that engine after I swapped it into the car it took me around 3ish hours taking my time. I just didn't have a spare 3 hours on Monday night to tear into it. Plus I was worried there might be other damage as well that I didn't want to deal with. Someone with experience I'd think could do it in under 2 hours. Why did I pay for 4.5 hours of labor?

bummer dude, but if it only slipped one tooth you should be fine. Any more than that and your luck starts to run thin.
