That's it. I'm buying an e46.

Only the M3s are worth it. Maybe a 330. Still plagued with random small issues here and there.

Thanks guys!

330ci would be a good choice too, the coupe version not the convertible. Only 15hp less than a stock m3. They do have a lot of problems related to the long oil change intervals (crankcase ventilation, sludging, vanos rattle) and need a cooling system rebuild about every 5 years. I've replaced a lot of engines because the aluminum block threads pull out when they get overheated, I've only done one block repair with the thread inserts kit from AST. Look for one that has records for sure.

This m3 has made me broke since I've owned it lol. But I think its close to being back on a regular maintenance budget of fluids and filters....fingers crossed.

I'd probably try to go for an m3. I don't have much money though. At least I can dream.

Well I need some advice from my car friends, I bought this front spoiler but don't think it goes with the car. So help me choose which one I should use. First up is the one I already have, its mocked up with some foam blocks from this weekend...

Don't really care for either TBH. Looks way cleaner without a lip, both looked tacked on as an afterthought and don't really go with the car.

2nd one is much better IMO, but I have to agree with Tony, neither would be much cleaner IMO.

Thought I would bump up my old build thread as I have been really busy over the last year, and I wish I documented all that has happened, but it just didn't happen. Was working through all the old receipts and order forms from this build and thought I should let you know I ended up selling my iX today to someone who offered me what I thought it was worth, hope I didn't make a mistake as I already want it back :? . I retained a few parts that I might sell if I don't find another project in the next few months. If anyone is interested I have my 16x7 et25 bbs rs003's refinished about 1.5-2 years ago I bought from MR325 (on e30tech) with dunlop star spec tires and a set of euro 3.64 iX gears (front and rear) I may part with, plus a few other odds and ends. I will update in the FS section if I cant find another project. Thanks to everyone who helped out and followed me along the way here! I hope I can move forward with a new and more exciting edition soon....
