Also, what did you think of the rivals? I don't see much discussion about the feel? I know you just got them so yeah...

There would be plenty of room for kids in a 4 door.

Four doors, more whores.

They feel awesome to me. I don't have a ton of experience with different kinds of tires, but these grip real hard. They feel forgiving too. You can tell when they are starting to let go. They don't just break free all the sudden, so that's nice. Also, when going on a highway on ramp, you can feel your face being stretched sideways from the immense force
But seriously, I love em.

fun isn't it? I guarantee your not even pushing those tires to half their potential. Get out on a track with lots of run-off and see how much more they got in them!

Well, haven't been on here in a while.

I ended up putting that 2.72 (or whatever the number is. Something like that) LSD in. I like it a lot. 1st gear feels way less uselss and I can cruise 80mph at 2500rpm, which was nice when I drove the old girl to North Carolina and back last weekend (1500 mile round trip). She never even blinked.
I used to get around 23-25mpg on the highway. I averaged 30mpg on snow tires doing 85 through the mountains. I'd say that's an improvement.

Nick, when are you gonna come over and hog my garage/living room/kitchen? You don't have a very good spot to work on a car right? Can't remember if your house has a garage or not.

Color me freaking jealous, that's probably what my M10 gets if I ever took it on a long trip.

Lol you pretty much fell off the face of the earth dude! haha. Yeah, I stashed her away under a tarp in the backyard lol. I didn't feel like paying for a place to store her, and didn't see myself working on it much. But if you're offering a warm/dry spot, and the promise to kick my ass into working on her, there's a ton of projects i should get done this winter...

Oh, and glad to hear you didn't get rid of the old girl!

You're welcome to come over and work on your car if you need a place, but I got plenty of projects myself, so it's kinda full. There's not really space for more than one car, and I don't want to park outside if I don't have to ya know.

Pretty sure it would. It'd be kinda like dropping the clutch in 2nd on a "normal" setup.

I've been getting 25-28 with the M10 usually, but that's mixed city/freeway commuting. Haven't taken it on a long trip at all to see what straight highway mileage is.

Gotcha, totally understandable. Think I'll just leave her under cover for winter, want to keep the salt away as much as possible. And probably taking the insurance off this week. Not to mention I have my old slicks on up front because I have nothing better to let it sit on for winter...

May have to take you up to work on the white car though. Need to figure out where a short is at and why it immediately blows the fuse for the HVAC motor. You going to be around this weekend?

This makes me want to pick up one of these diffs I've been letting slip through my fingers... I can get a good 33-35 of mostly autobahn with my m42 but I've been stuck doing about 65-70 if I wanna keep the RPM's at a reasonable range with the 4.10 diff. Maybe I'll pick up a good lsd or something from a donor car sometime. Good to see you posting though, even if the car is parked for the winter. I know what it's like to not have a place to park or work (illegal to do something on roadside here in Germany) and I gotta pay 6+ an hour for a bay if I wait the hour+ to get it :P
