MrEricT's e30 project thread......... indeed

Postby MrEricT » Sun Apr 08, 2012 11:00 pm

This is a thread for the bomb ive been rolling around in for the last year and a half. Ive got alot of pictures to find and alot of progress to post to go back to day one. So bear with me, this may take awhile.

Life has been hectic, so i havent been on the internet much. Ive been in the process of getting divorced for almost two years now, did a major change in my employment, and found out last month my 3 year old son has leukemia, but hes expected to make a full recovery and has been doing quite well...... for a little boy with cancer.

So as i find time i will update this thread.

I downloaded the photobucket app. Then I can copy the img codes and jump from app to app to post them. I hope your son is doing well.

The boy is doing fairly well considering. Doc says hes entering remission, hes going to begin stage II of his chemotherapy this friday. Thursday he comes off the steroids, and also friday they are removing his picc line, ( the tube that enters his arm and runs within a vein to his heart) and installing a mediport beneath the skin in his chest. So he will be able to be a little more like a normal 3 year old. He should begin to form some semblance of an immune system and he will be able to go outside and play so long as it is above 65 degrees outside. He will also be able to travel back and fourth between his moms and my place again...... which will be nice.

I will download the app once i get a chance and get crackin on pics!

What steroids was he on? I've been on some and had a pic line as well. Not fun. But it certainly helps you feel better.

I believe he was on decadron...... I know it sounded like a transformer, with his attitude somedays i swear it made him a decepticon. But otherwise he is doing very well. Theyve got his leukemia level in his marrow down to .01 percent. Which is great news along with his blood counts are getting better and better as weeks go by.

Anyways, heres some pics. This is how it currently looks.

Heres a couple from when it was on 5 lugs with bbs ceres wheels.

A shot after I sold the 5 lug swap and went back to 4x4 high,

currently I'm sporting a complete ground control suspension kit, I shortened the strut housings up front and opted for the short konis. Front and rear strut tower braces I made, ireland sways, akg poly bushings everywhere, tree house cabs, Wheels are Borbet type t.... 16x7.5 (thanks matty :D ) that I stripped and painted and then went with a brushed aluminum look on the lips, installed e36 steering rack, power steering delete, deleted the steering guibo.... theres more.... I just cannot think of it right now.....

m50b25tu swap, e36 rad fan, ireland oil cooler adapter, solid engine mounts made by yours truly, e36 harness also modded by myself, 740 brake booster/master, uuc stainless brake lines, zimmerman rotors, pbr ceramic pads, 5 speed swap, b&m short shifter with my home made dssr makes shifting short, tight, and precise via my homebrewed shift lever. Exhaust is a set of ebay headers, into a 2.5 inch spun cat, to a dynomax bullet muffler, to a trush welded muffler, then out via twin 2" tips I made so it filled the void in the rear valance.

I've got a rear camber/toe kit to weld onto my rear subframe one of these weekends and a whole list of little to do's I want to get finished up. I would like to find a set of euro grillz for it.

oh, I bought a e30performance shirt from the cafe press store..... looks great and fits good. Now I just need to get a sticker for the tool box, and one for the whip then I'm set.

I'm glad your son is doing well and responding to treatment. The car looks great! It is reminding me if your old white car. Which was awesome too! Great work! Your car is almost a checklist of what I have planned for my car haha.

Good news about the boy! Pics of the rear valance with the new exhaust cutouts? Sounds like you have done a tone of work to the car.
