Just dropped off the new radiator, so hopefully I have the car back some time this week.

I just noticed that you changed the title of this thread... lol! :) I am gonna be selling my s4 I think... just too darn pricey to maintain for an auto-x car. :)

You've replaced everything short of the engine or transmission that is liable to fail. In theory, it will be reliable for 40-50k, at which point, sell sell sell.

Well, if it's a VW that didn't have the proper bolts in it the engine could just fall out >.> I KEED! I do not wish this upon anyone!

haha, yeah I drive like 40k+ miles per year so I hope it lasts longer than that...Its still cheaper than a car payment and full coverage insurance.

Matt, I hear you. I can't imagine trying to keep a modded version of my car on the road, lol!

I just don't know if I can sell it though. I will miss it. :( its fast!

Audi's are pricey to maintain, but they drive nice. I am doing another $400 worth of work now. :)

Why do cars cost so much $$$? it'd be a way cooler hobby if it didn't hate my paychecks so bad.

Also, OP, get one of those buffer kits and de-fog your headlights (if you haven't already, sorry, didn't parse the whole thread), best thing you can do for night time.

I replaced the entire housing's.

though I heard about ATF taking all the haze off old housing's with just a few wipes. I have the old housing's still so I'm going to try it on those. My trucks lights are hazed bad so those would be great if it worked.

I've heard of that but I prefer a good strong sponge and Dawn dish soap for practically every car woe I have :P I like those wheels on that car, they fit well on the Passat and the Jetta and look great on black cars.

that looks darn good with the new housings.

I've done the hand polish kit on a few sets of plastic headlights, and it works well. The only way I can see ATF working is if it dissolves the outer layer of plastic, otherwise it needs to be smoothed out. Next time I do it I say screw the hand polishing, and do the drill-powered kit. Too boring to do for that long.

I don't think ATF would do anything long term. The haze is from small chips in the plastic. ATF will only fill in the chips until it slowly goops off.

Pretty cool. I wonder if it would do even better if mixed with a light abrasive and used to polish the lenses. Maybe like comet the bathroom cleaner.
