Only thing is, 4th gear 200kmh with 4700rpm is no good. 130kmh what is allowed here is at 2700 rpm. So fly by someone you want to overtake puts you back to 3th gear all the time....

Bought a 2.79 Lsd few weeks ago. Emailed the Guy, if he wants to trade, we discussed it when i got it from him, told me this was much better then the 2,93 i requested. Now i want an 3,64 or 3,73lsd!!

We use 3,73 Welded diff with e34 525tds gearbox in the 327turbo drag car... It's the best standard cheap drag conversion and strong enough!

Im also thinking i need that 3,73 lsd version. I think its the best, but atm im now struggeling to get the E tach showing 7000rpm with the right coding plug. I have the black one, the old style.

Fitted an new style dash, nothing was working... Strange?

Only a GoPro movie of my turbod 325i. I was driving around with no hood to check for leaks and stuff!
No Speedo or boostgauge, just the sound of the engine and turbo and a beautifull view around my place! Enjoy.

Also recieved my Z3 "shortshifter" kit, and an Ix windshieldwashertank and misc. stuff!

That's what I figured, so you welded the internal wg shut?

Again i have let my friend lasercut two flanged for the exhaustside of the turbo. Threaded a M10 hole to fit a bolt that can hold the wastegatehole plug in place.
I grinded off the wastegateshaft and made two plugs, one for where the wastegate was and one for the shaft hole.
On the flange i welded a small pieces of pipe to get rid of the opening where normally the wastegate exhaustgases flow into the exhaustpipe when bypassing the turbo.

This was my initial concern as well. Many, many people have done this, and I haven't read a case of it going wrong yet. Still, it's one of the main reasons I went with a non-wastegated H1C over a HX35w. I know there are non-wastegate HX35s, but I had a hard time finding one for a good price.

Maikel, your car sounds great, and looks pretty quick. It sounds pretty similar to mine, I think. I can't wait to turn up the boost, I'm only running 3-4 PSI (~0.2 bar) right now.

Everybody was saying that the internal one is crap. So thats why i went for external route.

Maybe you guys are right about the different type of metals, only time can tell i suppose!

I was looking for o non-wastegated housing but could'nt find one at the time!

Bought a new used gauge cluster. With a 7000rpm gauge and the right coding plug.
Set the odogauge to the kilometers i have drive at the moment, 000337!
