Looks like my list of things to do is shaping up well. After y'all's suggestion and some reading I'm going to clay bar well, buff it clean then wax it with a really good wax. Going to also super clean the inside and condition the seats a little then move on to everything else I wanna do. I know I'm gonna do bushings first but there isn't enough wrong with the car to warrant taking it apart just yet :P I guess I'll refinish the RSs and enjoy the car a little.

Car is now cleaned up and parked in a covered area, to be started and moved twice during the week and driven on weekends, or at least until snow comes :P. The gentleman I bought the car from let me know that two larges of stuff is on its way from his parents. Other things of note are in my other build thread :D

I wonder how much of that is factory and how much is upgrade.

The stuff under the cluster (like the face for the lights pull tab and stuff) looks cleaner/newer/darker than other E30s I've seen. Did someone add that "unleaded premium gas only" sticker or is that factory? Same with the red needles and the ebrake cover thingy.

I also figured more would be different. Those appear to be just the normal run of the mill sport seats. I was hoping for like M3 super hold in style sexy felt or something.

The unleaded fuel thing is for US market cars sold in Europe; I've seen that on a bunch of '80s Mercedes Benzes, Saabs, & Volvos on the continent. Is that actually from the manufacturers? Fuck if I know.
Red gauge needles are an M thing.

The car looks happily used; I am envious. Again. Nice score!

The only thing bothering me is the parking brake boot. Everything else looks as good as you could ask for. Very jealous... I will own an M3 at some point. Due to the increasing price of the E30s, it will probably be an E46. Unless I become fabulously wealthy, then

Yeah. She is well worn but not in bad shape by any regards. From what I can tell the unleaded only was for US spec clusters, the red needles are for the M. Also appreciate the oil temp vice fuel mileage as who cares in a M3 anyways? I agree that E30s are getting wayyyy to expensive, seen quite a few selling for 20-40 recently... Also, the M3 was different for all the tight reasons, to drive it and get back in a 318is is like night and wtfday.

The seats a subtly different, pretty much the direction of the stitching and the adjuster levers. You my friend have a beautiful survivor. Having driven every form of e30 produced minus an early m10, my opinion is the 325i is the most fun for daily street driving. The m3 is way to high strung to be thrilling on the street (US streets anyway), but on the track is a whole different story.
