I'm not a history buff myself either, but yeah, from what I have read "The Tudors" got really good reviews for how accurate it was.. I didn't think I was going like it at first because it seemed cheesy the first 10 minutes. After that i found myself doing 4 or 5 hour marathons when I should have been sleeping.

Alright guys here are some more photo's of what's been going on.

Image

I took the bumper cover off to remove the bumper because the 2 bolts holding the assembly together were rusted tight.

Looks like she's been in an accident..

Started working on the hood. I'm not 100 percent satisfied with how it turned out but it'll be ok for the winter.

Flag tuned out great! I like the fade, you just used rattle cans? Are you going to clear over it?

Yes sir, it's all rattle can.. I ended up putting on 4 coats last night. It's been sitting in the sun all day so far. I wasn't expecting it to happen, although it makes sense, the clear coat made sort of a yellow-ish tint. Which actually "dimmed" down the white so it almost matches the rest of the old oxidized paint. I'm going to try to do a minimal amount of wet sanding with hopes it doesn't brighten back up..lol. I'm no painter so if anyone has any tips or tricks, they'll be welcomed.
Thank you for the kinds words M20..

not many tips on rattle can post work, don't go crazy wet sanding since aerosol paint is really thinned out so ever several coats will yield really thin layers that are easy to sand through. I would just hit it with some 2000 to knock the tape edges down then give it a couple days and wax/hand buff it.

Well, I had it all done (except buff) but the front looked so much nicer than before.. It was killing me to leave the fenders as is with the rotted holes.. so I went a head and removed the driverside fender.. I was mortified at the condition because it's so much worse than I thought. So now I'm on the lookout for a pair of fenders. I'll get some pics up tomorrow..

TY! I've never been under an IX so this is super cool for me. It's like the LAST E30 bits I've never seen. So tightly packed down there. wow.

Also, lol at "yoshmister". I've gotten that a lot. Although, this weekend, my nick name was "ebola monkey". Been super sick.

Yeah man, that's a lot of stuff to shove under an e30. There was a pretty clean iX for sale here a couple of weeks ago. I've always sort of wanted one, but I just didn't have the funds. Now I get to live vicariously through this thread!

That's why they had to change the unibody to fit the driveline.
