Nice! How can something on an e46 be NLA already? Try ebay?

Yea I thought that was odd. Usually NLA parts are superseded by something but nothing anywhere says so. I ordered off of ECS tuning but I don't have high hopes their "3 in stock" detail was correct. I have an idea on how to rig it but I'd rather not have to.

I'm also waiting for all the CELs to come on. Gotta figure out what the dash light of a cog with an "!" in it means.

lol it's like you're reading my mind. I guess you don't have me on FB. I found that pic shortly after the post. I thought that's what it was.

I need the gas pedal pivot. Not the pedal itself. Plus that's the DBW one. Mine is actually drive by cable! But yea. FCP had the arm I needed and it allegedly shipped 10 min ago. I'm surprised they had it as everyone said it was nla.

I haven't been on FB in like 5 years! I still have an account that I link some of my games to, but I don't use it.

Glad you found your part. Good luck with it. I wasn't sure exactly what part you needed, but I noticed that one was about $30 less on FCP than ECS. That reminds me, I need to place another order with FCP soon. Got a big box of stuff from them last week, but I need more parts.

ECS is great for looking up part numbers, thats about it. Their consistently 15-20% more expensive than pretty much anyplace else.

Turns out I went to FCP euro not ECS. The parts showed up. it's exactly what I needed so that's a HUGE relief. Hopefully this car drives tomorrow. W00t! no tags, no reg, no inspection, no rear window. Neighbors will LOVE me!

If your neighbors have problems with that tell them never to move to Michigan. Where I lived people used to drive their no tags/reg/inspection/ANY windows/exhaust/interior/etc cars around town getting them ready for the demolition derbys.

There's like 4 hard core racers in my neighborhood alone, not including me, plus a shitload of hotrodders. Summers it's like a damn racecar proving ground, lol. Most of the cars cruising around don't even have real lights and windows, just plexi and decals on fiberglass bodies. Exhaust? LOL.

There's like one guy down my block with a few el caminos. I don't think he gets the BMW thing.

But yea, I moved the wagon around so I could get the two new project cars into the driveway. Not sure when I'll have time for anything anymore. >_< I get a bit of a backfire into the intake on start. But that might be because the tank is so hilariously low on gas that I'm surprised the car even starts. Gotta crank for 10 seconds before it'll start.

Yeah, that was a little disappointing to see, but I'd still love to have it anyway. I wish BMW actually made a classicly styled pickup.

I feel like that would be inherently not "bmw". I feel like they started with "the ultimate driving machine" and then decided, eh, I guess we can turn our regular cool car and turn it into a wagon. Then they jumped into SUVs for some reason and kept running. Sporty is their thing. I don't know of any truly sporty trucks. I've seen trucks have sporty themes but it's not like they'll build a raptor.

This is why I love the wagon. Just enough utility but still gonna rape face. Once I find more time to work on it.
