Nobody makes a real station wagon anymore. Gimme a 3 door e30 touring and I'll be about as happy as a man can be. But I'd take just about any early 90's or older wagon and be happy as well. Maybe a couple later 90's, but definitely nothing past 99, and preferably nothing with any airbags whatsoever (unless we're talking suspension lol).

Ahh, sporty trucks... Reminds me of when I almost bought a Typhoon. From the factory that thing was sick!

'inherently not "bmw"'... Have you seen what they've done with the company lately? I've heard rumor of a front wheel drive V6 soccer mom mini van. I really hope it isn't true. I'm honestly afraid to look it up.

Yea. I'm getting more and more unhappy with them post E46. BUT I talked to a few guys at a bmw race shop. They hate all E90s but love the F30s. So I have some hope.

I hate that none of the e30 truck builds have opening tailgates...pretty much makes a truck pointless. Personally, I want to make an e38 pickup.

That's RACIST! -yuush- lol

Yeah, I would love to see one with an opening tailgate also. Not opening doesn't make them pointless, but definitely less functional.

I should work on the wagon. Gonna get some fresh gas in it soon and drive it around. See if I can get the ABS lights to go out just on distance.
I think maybe the DME has to go through checks or something. *shrugs*

Well I got PASoft installed after a fight with drivers in windows 10 (gotta manually find the driver from the list instead of just browse for it). Also took me a while to realize that early E46s 100% DO have the 20 whatever pin connector under the hood and the OBD2 interface won't work.

Anywho, this is what it gave me:
Image

And here is the hilarious print out. I'm actually amused or in disbelief that the DMEs were both within 1km of each other. The simple fix at this point looks like just swapping out the LCM and cluster with the donor car and most things will go away. Also looks like the rear driver's wheel speed sensor is on the fritz. Sadly, I've never successfully pulled one of those out.

Yea... I don't know? Maybe it's a german term for something. But holy crap this damn thing can do so much. I wish my E30 had it. Sad part is that I can't get the ABS module to forget that it's automatic. I'm going to try to swap out the innards without breaking any fluid. With that, ALL the lights will go out AND the odometer will read the correct mileage for the car even though it's the manual cluster!

Well if anyone wants to know, the DSC comes off with 4 E6 bolts and keeps the brake system sealed. The down side is that I now have this code:

ABS -> A3/FF - Lateral acceleration sensor electrical failure

But I've decided, I really don't care about DSC. I'd really like to kill this suction-jet pump code.

Anywho, I put in the new radiator today and bled the cooling system. All seems well minus a MAF code that was likely tossed from me starting the car with the res cap off and coolant going everywhere (and into the MAF since I have no filter on it right now). I ordered depo head lights from amazon since my old ones are bunk. I just need windows front and rear and this baby can hit the road! Or at least enough to find out what fails for safety.

So uh... there aren't any new windows in the US. Like... at all. Even used units. The guy that I called found one in fucking canada. On the bright side, it'll cost me 1/3 what a new window will.

Jeeze, I didn't think those were that rare. You should call Knautz BMW in Lake Forest, IL for hard to find stuff. Their a massive dealer that stocks a lot of "old" BMW parts. I've gotten several e30 parts they had in stock as long as I could provide the part number.
