Yoshi's torque spec master list

Postby Yoshi » Mon Oct 25, 2010 1:09 pm

I'm going to categorize all torque specs we normally look up so it's just easier to find them here. If you don't see what you want, ask for it or post one you know.

Driveline:
Pressure plate bolts - 16-18 ft/lb
Flywheel - 89 ft/lb ~120nm
Caliper bolts - 110nm
Axle Retaining nut - 285nm
Brake Rotor "set" Screws - 18nm

Engine:

M20
____________
Head bolts: 22ft#, 90*, 90*

I'm pretty sure the Bentley manual has different specs depending if you're using torx or hex bolts. I'd check now, but I left my copy at the shop last night.
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325is (newest project)
Arktisblau 5-speed 86 325e (current DD)
Schwarz 5-speed 87 325e (parts car/LS1 swap?)
Gazellenbeige automatic 85 318i (70,000 miles)
Alpine white 5-speed 87 325is (my first e30, possibly for sale)
99 Suburban
