I figured out how to bleed brakes with just me
I hate other people. Well, I don't like working with other people. They slow me down. So brake bleeding jobs have always been a pain for me. But, I figured it out!
Why the hell do you have to close the bleeder valve? Nothing gets sucked back in. I got some clear line and a canister. It was actually a compressor powered bleeder. It didn't work. Basically, I just left the valve open and pumped the pedal 5-7 times. The clean line always had no bubbles and good/new/clean brake fluid in it. Capped that off, went about the other calipers. It took me like 10 minutes to bleed all the brakes. I mean come on! EASY! I've done this with the clutch pedal for years now. I wonder why I never tried this on brakes.

I always thought you were sucking air back into the calipers if you left the valve open. Another option is gravity bleeding, however I haven't ever really got that to work.

if gravity bleeding worked on an E30, my air powered gun would have worked too. I guess the lines are too thin or something? I have no idea.

Interesting. I just bled my brakes like a week ago. Next time I do it I'll try it this way. I thought like Nick said that it would suck air back in.

I bought a set of Speed Bleeders for the E36.
They work ok, but could be a problem if they rusted. Four years on them. So Far So Good.

Funny you should link to this Yoshi. I bled my brakes twice since I wrote that I would try this next time. Still haven't. hahaha.
